Very merry crimbo to all the Badgers and Salcombers!

A very merry Chrimbo from me to all.

I now know why I didn't manage to catch up with the 'Festive Frenzy' on Friday night - it appears that I had lost all sense of being at our office Chrimbo doo by about 10:00 pm
But by all accounts there were a good dozen who lost more hours than I did !

a very enjoyable night...
star of the night was the "re-discovery" of the Royal Exchange pub
which served a great pint of carling black label and something called "bathams" which seemed to be consumed quite readily.
there was good old fashioned service in this pub which set the night off in good stead. it gets a rob-rating of 3 shivers.
sadly the rest of the pubs were crap - especially the cottage spring
or whatever it called itself. katie fitsgeralds was ok....a might packed
but ok - very nice looking barmaids (dumfries and galloway~?~)
ending the night in the Neel Akash restaurant was great! - pretty good food but "dumb-waiters"......what was that complicatedly named rare european wine you ordered again sir?.....ah yes "the house red"

i look forward to the "lads night out" rota....i know what we'll do when mine comes round again.

merry christmas all.

Chaps on tour Friday night update - Gentlemen - its that time again and here are the details...
we intend to meet for around 8-8.30 in the Royal Exchange pub on the Stourbridge side of Envil st.
Most of you will be pleased to know that this is a Bathams pub so be sure to put a lining on your stomach's.
There is also talk of a convenient curry house near the other end of the rd so - if the cheese and onion cobs are not satisfying enough then maybe a lamb bhuna?

dress to impress - no trusses!
and Rob - bring a jacket ....otherwise you will be hyperthermic after 5 mins!

" I bet he drinks Carling Black Label " (i hope next week i can find something else to do to stop me being bored) - anyone want any trees cutting down?
As Grand Master Fat Badger, I can tell you that a 'set' is a group of tennis games constituting one division or unit of a match,
The play made immediately before a spike (not a smash) in Vollyball,
The collective receiving apparatus assembled to operate a radio or television,
A session of music, typically dance music, played before an intermission,
A group of things of the same kind that belong together and are so used,
A group of persons sharing a common interest,
A group of books or periodicals published as a unit,
A number of couples required for participation in a square dance

and the scenery constructed for a theatrical performance or indeed the entire enclosure in which a movie / television programme is filmed.

We Fat Badgers however, Live in a Sett. !

Well - as a "Fat Badger" i will have to take your word as what is a "set" and what isnt.
....just remember to get a decent pint of Carling behind the bar. - anyone else blogging?
The Queen Vic doesn't exist jools !
It's just a set.
The Queen Vic !!
Well, come the 13th January when we get completion on the pub, I may be able to elaborate but I can say that this particular establishment already gets free national advertising every day of the week so you do already know it !

Rob - you may not be a fat badger but never-mind.....you may be in-line for some plump beaver! - and as for you Kilo - well.....you can jolly well invite us all to this pub..
if its any good we'll submit it to some pub site - there must be some reasonable ones around somewhere ;-)

(jools.....in need of internet help!)
Well this Fat Badger was away buying a pub and thanks to Lauren for making my evening interesting. Unfortunatley I was in Cellar V rather than Cheeky Monkey's and then some nightclub of which I don't remember the name - Hey and guess what Jools, I was drinking lager, which was smooth & crisp with an even head and delighful smell of... lager. Once back at the barn, we moved onto a nice Chiantti which had a hint of grape.
I still can't believe the other fat badgers wouldn't join me at "cheeky monkeys" a missed opportunity by all (not that I am an official fat badger, but don't tell becky). I have bought my mince, just need me faggot!
